I Can Smell A Cure

To my wonderful supporters out there who have been wanting to help me fight Cystic Fibrosis...now is your chance!  I am walking in the Great Strides to cure Cystic Fibrosis this year.  It is a walk to raise money and awareness about CF!  I'm doing the one at the Seven Peaks in Provo on June 1st!  If you think you can come walk with me then PLEASE do!  If not, then please please please take a moment to donate...any amount is awesome!

I have lived with CF for 22 years now, and doctors have told me over and over that a cure is on the horizon.  I never believed it until they came out with this drug called Kalydeco last year.  It is not a cure, but is the closest thing to it!  It's just one pill, once a day...and it takes away symptoms of CF and shows massive improvements in lung function.  The catch.  There's always a catch, right?   That drug has only been shown to be effective for a certain genotype of CF...which isn't the one that I have.  Don't be disappointed though!  They are working hard and doing studies for MY genotype.  There are finally people out there living with CF that have normal lives, and I want nothing more then to be normal.  It is so close!  With your help I just know that this drug or possibly even a cure will happen any day now!

PLEASE HELP AND DONATE!!

It's easy!
All you need to do is click on this link

if you want to donate click the yellow "Click To Donate" icon

Day of Love

Quick little write up about Valentine's Day this year!
It was a perfect and simple day for Brad and I.  We knew we were going to Steamboat and on our cruise soon so we promised we wouldn't spend very much money (although that never happens right?).  I came home from school that day and found a card with chocolates and flowers.  It always makes me so happy when he is so simple and thoughtful.
We went to dinner at El Toro.  He mentioned going because it is my most favorite place to eat in Logan.  It was delicious.  I wasn't expecting anymore gifts from him, and come to find out he got me TWO pandora charms!  I was beyond excited!  He got me one that is a heart with a lock and a key is attached to it and then the statue of liberty!  The statue of liberty was technically for our anniversary in January because he got me an Eiffel tower charm to give to me when we were in Belgium and thinking of visiting Paris.  We never made it to Paris though so he took the eiffel tower back and got me the statue of liberty instead (representing our summer we spent together in NY).  He is the best!!  After dinner we went and saw Safe Haven.  I had been so excited for it to come out, and it was perfect for coming out on Valentine's Day.

Our day was simple, but perfect! :)  I got Brad some recess and chocolates and a stuffed animal.  That is where the pictures from the stuffed animals came from!  We realized we had collected quite a bit in just the short years we've been together!  I sure love my Bradley.  I'm so happy I get to spend eternity with him!

Bradley's Birthday

My sweet husbands birthday was on February 9th...and I am just now writing about it!
I think I will forever be a month behind in my blog.
That's okay though, I have good excuses as to why I have NO time :)

I absolutely love birthdays!
I just love making people feel important on their special day...because even if they say they don't like it, everyone knows they like to be noticed for their birthday.  The night before his birthday my parents took him out to dinner to Costa Vida...his all time favorite place.

The day of his birthday I gave him his presents, made some cupcakes, and made some brownies.  Then that night we went to Crystal Hot Springs with all of his buddies and their women!  It was a blast.  It'd been a while since all of us had gotten together to hang out, and it was much needed!  We had so many laughs, and the best part was going on the slide (that was freeeeezing).  We were all way nervous to go because it was so cold, but after we went once...we all went again.  This time we made a giant train and we went sooo fast!  It was so fun...then we got in trouble cause you're only supposed to go one person at a time. Oops! So we just ran back to the hot pots!  Then we came back to our house and sang to Brad and he blew out his TWENTY FOUR candles (old fart ;)).
The balloons were a big hit haha

Then a light was broken because a shoe was thrown up in the air instead of a balloon on accident! haha it scared the poop out of everyone...then after the initial shock we busted up in laughter!  So funny!

Thanks to everyone who helped make Brad's birthday so special! :)
