Sweden 1/3

A funny thing happened to us in Sweden.
Remember how we ate dinner with Michael's parents?  Well, he works for the company that invented mobile internet...big time right?  Well...we must have made a good impression on him at dinner because he called Michael and asked if Brad and I would be models for their new brochure that they are making! Haha...we decided why not?  Who gets to model in Sweden right?

Well that is our photographer and Michael was also in the pictures with us! Haha...I'm making it sounds like a way bigger deal then it really was.  I might be famous in Sweden one day though who knows? haha ;)

After we finished with that Michael took us around Lund a little bit more.  It's really cool and really old.  It's also where his University is so it was fun to be able to see some of the buildings on their campus.
Very, very different from Utah State!

The Hospital in Lund
A building where they hold some classes
The stair case inside to get up to the rooms

Another building on campus
Cathedral on campus as well haha

The basement of the Cathedral.  It was a place where they buried all the important people...kinda creepy ha

After we toured Lund a little bit we went to Malmo where we watched the Red Hawks play!
Hockey is really popular there so it was super fun to be there in that environment!  They won 3-1 too! :)

Last, just another picture of their little village! It's so cute! I LOVED it!  I wanted to add it here because it's the last little bit of Sweden before we headed off to Belgium where Bradley served his mission.

Sweden treated us very very well...or I should say that the Palomaki's treated us very well! :)
Either way we had a really good time!
We enjoyed the Swedish life including food, friends, places and anything else you can think of that a Swede would do!
Thanks for showing us what Sweden is all about Michael and Aurelie...and of course Victoria!

Copenhagen 1/2

To get to Copenhagen, Denmark it was only about a 45 minute drive there.  It was a fun drive because we had to go over a really long bridge that goes over a man made island and then we go under the water and then you're in Copenhagen.
It is a gorgeous city!  We definitely weren't able to fit in everything in just one day, but I was so happy with everything we were able to see!  Mostly I just have pictures!  My words wont be able to describe it as well as my pictures do :)

The Copenhagen, Denmark Temple!  Blends right in with everything else!  It's really pretty!

Where we ate lunch!  Yummy!
Non alcoholic beer...they liked it but I sure didn't ha
There are so many bikes EVERYWHERE!
This is the original of the copy that is in SLC.  I had no idea there was even an original somewhere!  It was really cool to see!

The longest pedestrian street in the world!

My favorite picture and place!  It was amazing here!

Royalty stopped traffic and came by.
The Little Mermaid!  People travel from all over just to see this!
Kristina.  This is really cool because it's a representation of all the LDS members that left to go to Utah.  This is right where all the boats came and ported.  Not a lot of people know about it so it was awesome to see!  Michael told me that my ancestors that lived in Sweden more then likely came to this very port to go to America!  It was really personal to me.
The explanation of the statue.  It talks about the strength and courage of the mormons that crossed the plains and made it to Utah.  I feel so lucky and blessed to be so fortunate in these days.  They all made it so easy for us.  Thanks great grandma and grandpa Larsson for being so brave.
The cobble stone below it has members names engraved in them.  I tried finding any familiar ones, but there was so many it was hard.

Where the boats came to port.
Sorry that it was so long!  I had to pick and choose from all my pictures...there are still so many more that I took!  We had such a fun time in Copenhagen.  The whole time Brad and I just kept talking about how blessed we felt!  It was so fun to be there especially with Michael and Aurelie!

Sweden New Years Day! 1/1

It was kind of weird waking up on New Years Day in Sweden and realizing that everyone in Utah was just barley watching the ball drop and celebrating the new year.
We are blessed to say the least...
It's not everyday that you get to spend New Years in Sweden...well of course except for all of those who live there ;)
New Years day we drove down to the coast of the Baltic Sea.  It took us about an hour, and we were in a little town of houses that we were told was really popular during the summer time.  It was pretty dead when we were there so it was cool to be able to walk around and see all the houses.  I just kept thinking of how fun it must be during the summer time being right by the sea.
There is a place called Logen.  Spelled a little different but we thought it was cool! :)

The Baltic Sea!

We walked through the town a little bit and then we headed up this hill to this historic site that they wanted us to see.  It is big huge rocks put in the shape of a boat up in the middle of a big field that is on a cliff down to the sea.  Got all that?  That is the best way I can describe it! Haha.  They have been there for a really really long time and nobody really knows exactly what it is for.  Some people think it might be a calendar of some sort.
A little info about it
Inside the circle

The cliff was really high and about 50 yards from where the rocks were.

After that Brad and I explored a little bit down by a little fishing dock area that they had!  The pictures don't do anything justice!  It was really pretty!

It was really pretty there, and fun to see something that alot of people don't really get to see unless they know about it!  It's crazy to me to think back in time and how long ago everything there was made and built!  It's really cool.

When we got back to Lund (a city by where they live), we went to dinner at a nice restaurant there!  It was hard to order because everything was written in Swedish haha! But we ended up both really liking what we got! :)

When we finished eating we drove around Lund...it's such a cute town!  Then we stopped at a candy store called Candy People!  There was SO MUCH candy there.  I was in heaven:)

Their orange soda is called Zingo.
Chocolate

The most memorable New Years I will ever have!  We are so grateful to be given the opportunity to spend it in the way that we did!  Thanks Palomaki's! :)
